People saying the show Hannibal was queer baiting but the show finished shy of a year when gay marriage became legal in the US. There was a lot of clues if people paid attention 😭 I would have loved a kiss scene but I understand why they didn't/ couldn't.

I don’t mind sex scenes what I do mind is sex scenes that don’t add anything to the plot and our in movies that don’t really need them.. i often want to watch normal serious movie with my small sister(13)/and our mom and unless its a children movie or a comedy marked as “family” i cant watch it with them without having to skip that scene or feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable. We deserve to watch historical movies without having to see something sexual

Sex scenes are fine when its the culmination of a romance plot, even a subplot. But just random starting scenes with groin slapping is so weird and jarring sometimes especially watching along with specific ppl.

I just wish they'd say "mm, I don't really like explicit sex scenes in the media I read/watch, and sometimes I wish there was more adult media for me to watch without it", instead of them just going like "media with explicit sex scenes is bad and immoral, everyone making it and engaging with it are bad and immoral people, everything should be tailor-made for meee 😤".

I think people who make these complaints vastly underestimate how prevalent sex is in the majority of people's lives. I don't think it should be a big deal to include it, especially as a way to illustrate the escalation (or declining) vibe of a relationship. For a lot of people, if the sex is still good, it's a reason to keep hanging onto the relationship, whether that's a good or bad thing.

They can show sex i just dont want it to be a 10 minute scene with 3 minutes of just French kissing but also people forget queerness wasn't aloud to be main stream for so long. gay marriage is very new still and people want shows that came out before that to have openly gay main character

Genuinely saw someone claiming that people are “reading too far” into Obsession when they say that Bear accidentally killed his cat because there’s no line or scene explicitly stating it was him who left the pills out and uncapped… in the house he lived in alone. On a related note, I hate how every show that includes queer identities is somehow “queerbaiting” 🙄 and the way people attack the actors bc they don’t make some big public announcement confirming they are the exact sexual orientation viewers demand they should be is unhinged
