I’m a solo widowed mom, I’m due in two weeks and the last few years of my life have been incredibly difficult. I lost my husband several years ago, and more recently I lost my dad just a month before finding out I was pregnant. Because of the timing, a part of me has always felt like my dad sent this baby into my life when I needed something beautiful to hold onto. This pregnancy has also been very difficult. I recently found out I have POTS and have been dealing with heart issues that have made my pregnancy high risk and left me practically bedridden at times. I had to stop working because of my health, and most treatment has to wait until after the baby is born. Right now I have weekly NSTs to monitor him, and we also found out that he has clubfoot and will need treatment after birth. I had just finished my degree and was so excited to finally use it and start building a better future for my family, but my health changed those plans for now. Being on a low income and not having much of a support system has made preparing for this baby really overwhelming. After everything I’ve been through, I’m incredibly grateful for this little boy and cannot wait to meet him. He still needs quite a few things, and having any part of my registry purchased would truly mean so much to me and help take some of the stress off as I prepare for his arrival. ❤️
