Your going to need the pump rotor along with the plungers to go bigger it’s a full pump rebuild, it will be more cost prohibitive to find a new/rebuilt pump in the size you want

Your .290 pump will flow plenty enough fuel for your 6.5. Back some 10-15 years ago my buddy and myself put a 6.5 turbo kit on his 6.2 blazer along with that we put a set of bigger 6.5 injectors in it and it had way more fuel than it needed. You can also pop the top of that pump off and turn it up some with the metering screw just under the throttle linkage

CDD CLASSIC DIESEL DESIGN has a real nice db2 pump for the 6.5. there kinda a 7.3 idi company but they do sell 6.5 stuff thats very nice

I’ve always used a 3m roloc on aluminum to remove gasket material without removing metal it’s green and it’s basically a wire wheel made out of rubber and it works good

Go to erk diesel in Bremen ga real close to the autozone you were broken down at the other day honestly he is probably the one who originally rebuilt the 29 pump of yours cause he rebuilds most of theirs pumps
