its 38 years later the gentrification was supposed to start in 1988 the Arizona cardinals football stadium was to be built on 7st van Buren to 16st but the bidwill didn't play ball with the colangelo family to get the city to build it so we ended up with the D backs and suns getting stadium downtown

historic area the first 200 blk residents in Phoenix Arizona were put in the eastlake area in 1901 the city drained eastlake lake filled the land in the built the park.

Yeah it’s just a new fancy term for the new projects. Public affordable housing. Duh. They already replaced and still replacing the Villas. You can tell bc they’ll get the whole thing up in a month when the luxury apts took like a year 😭

The reason people who move here think Phoenix is soft is because they cleaned it up. But I remember seeing a lot of these projects back in the day when I would pass through going to parties and raves.
