So infuriating, I always used the timer to go grab a glass of water or snack or something. Not everyone was using it to do last minute switches, so why take it away at all? You can’t gut every bit of toxicity from a community, it’s a pointless endeavor and will do more harm to the existing community than good

I agree that the timer being gone is a bad choice by them, but why is it so important to switch items last second? Just select it and chill, they bring lightborn? Cool, now they have wasted a perk slot that could have been gen defense, info or chase perk

They did it— don’t take my word for it, this is what I’ve heard from others— because killers were complaining about survivors waiting until the last second to switch whatever item they had, to a flashlight. Because of this, BHVR removed the timer, and once everyone had hit ready, nobody can switch/change their load out.

when i played killer i always though the quick switch was funny and i do it as survivor too like chill it’s just a game for fun if you can’t dodge flashlight saves, thats on you tbh
