At one point I thought it would be cool to own a human skull but it didn't take long for the thought to really freak me out. Even if human bones were somehow ethically offered to me for free, I would nope the fuck out as fast as I could.

a fun rabbit hole to visit is that of investigations into funeral homes, mortuary schools, research centers that have sold human remains on the black market. even Harvard had a huge scandal happen recently about a worker selling bones to people from the medical school morgue! ask a mortician (Caitlin Doughty) has a great video on her YouTube channel
