"I knew you were needy, Bam, but taking a bite out of her like she's a buffet?" ​"We came back to see if you needed a ride, but clearly you're doing just fine navigating," Athena added with a smooth smirk, raising her eyebrows. ​Miu Natsha just shook her head, a fond, amused grin on her face. "Someone record this. The golden retriever officially turned into a wolf." ​Mortified, Bam’s face turned bright, fiery crimson. She instantly dropped her head and hid her entire face right into Oom’s chest, wrapping her arms tightly around Oom’s waist to shut out the world. Oom let out a clear, melodious laugh, her fingers gently playing with Bam's hair as she rested her chin on top of Bam's head, completely unbothered by their friends' teasing. ​"Come on," Bam whispered, her voice entirely muffled against Oom's shirt, her eyes dancing with a familiar, playful spark as she grabbed Oom's bag with one hand and laced their fingers together with the other. ​"Where are we going?" Oom asked, letting herself be led willingly toward the door as their friends stepped aside, still making kissy noises and whispering jokes. ​"To tell your parents that their daughter just agreed to marry me for real," Bam muttered playfully, peeking out from Oom's side to kiss the tip of Oom's nose as they stepped out into the golden afternoon light.
