Boxing is way harder because you have less tools than MMA so you absolutely have to hone down those tool or else get tore up from those that got the timing, footwork, endurance, etc. MMA is better as you have more tools, kicks, ground, etc.

I think that boxing is considered the “hardest” sport because you have 2 weapons available unlike other arts. If you’re doing mma, Muay Thai, kickboxing, etc you can be efficient or find ways out in the matches. For boxing if you can’t use your hands good then you’re just gonna get wrecked for 12 rounds.

a boxer and a muay thai fighter gets into a fight, the muay thai fighter always wins if they’re at the same skill level. A boxer can’t do much if they’re get hit with a pull down knee, or a sweep and then head stomp.
