@cybersecuritygirl: If you are job hunting or know someone that is, please watch this Job scam reports DOUBLED last year, and AI is making fake recruiters, job postings and messages more convincing than ever. 🚨 Before you respond to a recruiter, VERIFY THEM. The FTC recommends taking their name and company and independently check the company’s official website. If you’re still unsure, contact the company directly using the contact information on its website, NOT the phone number, email or link the “recruiter” sent you. One massive red flag 🚩 : you should never have to PAY to get a job. If they ask you to send money for equipment, training, certifications or anything else before you start, stop. Legitimate employers don’t require you to pay to get paid. Send this to someone job hunting right now. Follow @cybersecuritygirl for more scam prevention tips

Not to mention if you’re providing documents like your official transcripts or resume when you already provided it. They are applying to colleges with that info.

You also forgot the scam where they basically have hired you and they send you a check for supplies. The biggest mistake most people make is cashing it at their Bank. There are only two ways to protect yourself . the first it's never cash the check. The second is inconvenience yourself but go to the physical Bank on the check and cash it there. So that way if the check comes back is bad they take the hit and not you.
