I agree as someone who's been a manager for 7 years not every good employee is management material and imo you can teach someone the job you can't teach them to lead you either got or not I believe this skill can be polished

I have been a manager and GM for 33 years. Did not have a life due to all this. I decided to be a server, giving excellent service , creating amazing experiences. The crazy part, I make more money, no responsibilities, set own schedule, I have a better life. This is why the hospitality industry is losing so many good managers because the expectation for managers have change big time since COVID-19, you have to multi task so much. Exactly the way you have posted in others videos . Great job on this videos

I have been in management for three years. We have gone through three regional managers in those three years in corporate keeps upping the anti on the way we are supposed to do things. I feel so burned out right now.

as a restaurant manager for many years now at the end of the day nobody cares about you all they care is a bottom line do you put in 60 hours for what on their paid today's employees don't care they don't want to work can't say anything to them cuz you hurt their feelings or they play the race card but I'm lying being the rest of manager destroys lives destroys your own lives family time and everything cuz you're always working weekends get out of it do not recommend it to nobody do not do it and get out of it

I was a kitchen manager for about 2 years and I’m now a general manager, for over a little more than a year and a half. It’s definitely a whole new ball game. I’ve wanted to walk out so many times. It’s been a little better with a new director of operations and district manager in place, but I still don’t always feel comfortable with the owner.
