(Before AI) I added a new feature to allow for live debuging for developers on the platform but apparently I wasn't closing out the SSE subscriptions correctly so they would disconnect and then just retry forever. It got cleared on deploys so we only noticed after a down period when we weren't doing as many deploys 😭

The Second :
As a junior, accidentally nuked production at 5 pm and left for a vacation. Learned two very valuable lessons that day, and that just won’t get experienced now and it’ll hurt future juniors. At least until Agents get to the point where they manage everything start to finish, but that’s a ways off

Same, i'm a 2025 graduate and i still get life before AI, during my internship i broke prod by commenting some parts of the frontend because was debugging something and forgot to uncomment it 🤣🤣. My manager and seniors didn't check it and just merge it to prod and at 8pm users were complaning why the web isn't working. Still missed the good old days
