How do you link your ticket to suica? I know you can use suica to scan in/out easily but this is the first I’ve heard of linking for Shinkansen!

How is the translation there? I go next year and I’m worried I won’t be able to find my way around anywhere lol. I see all of if not most of the signs are in Japanese, do they have English translations underneath most of them or no?
