@our_untamed_journey: Day 4 in Botswana 🇧🇼 We left Maun after a lovely breakfast at Island Safari Lodge and made our way to Khwai! 😍 Tyre pressures were dropped as we took the dirt road to South Gate to enter the Moremi Game Reserve. We took the cut line to North Gate. Apart from being a bit of a bumpy drive, it wasn’t too bad. Thankfully no water. We crossed the infamous wooden bridge at North Gate with en ellie snacking in the river 🐘 and drove through the Khwai village towards our campsite. We stayed at Xwabaxwa campsite for 4 nights. The initial plan was to stay at Mbudi, but unfortunately when we contacted them to make our payment earlier in the year, they let us know that they were temporarily closed down. We’re not sure if they’ll open again, but we hope they do so we can stay there next time! Xwabaxwa was an awesome campsite, it was positioned perfectly for us, the staff were amazing, free wood provided every night, and great facilities! The best ablutions on our whole trip.
