I’m trying. I’m trying so hard to make this life my own. But i feel like i have no control. I’m 21 but my mom’s having a hard time letting go and it’s been destroying our relationship since before i even turned 18. She makes me feel like such a failure and i know she just wants be to do better than she did but it’s hard because i feel like i need to crash in order to rebuild but she won’t let me just figure it out. Anytime i feel proud of myself she reminds me that she isn’t and it just put me back at square one. I am so scared of the real world because i feel like i can’t survive without her because she won’t let me be an adult. It’s hard for me to feel confident in anything im doing because she makes me feel like a dumb kid that can’t do it alone so it’s hard to even try. And then when i tried to do it and ultimately failed she was right there to remind me that she was right and i wasn’t ready and wow should’ve listened to mom. But like how am i supposed to learn if i don’t fail or make mistakes or just get out there and fucking DO IT. I don’t know how to be an adult or where to start and it has completely drained me. I just feel so stuck and i know what i want to be and do and become but i just don’t feel like i can accomplish it.
