@amylowtoxlife: 🤔 Think about it… have you ever actually read the labels on the cleaning products you use around your food? 👀 We think about the ingredients in our food… but what about what we spray all over the surfaces we cook and eat around? You clean the counter, drop a piece of food, and pick it right back up. You make your family’s food on that same counter. Then you cook next to the stovetop you just scrubbed with cleaning products. Depending on the product and how it’s used, residue can be left behind. Common ingredients in conventional cleaners can include quats, bleach, ammonia, harsh acids, synthetic fragrances, and VOCs. Some can irritate your skin, eyes, or lungs, especially with repeated or improper exposure. I’m not saying you need to panic or throw everything away overnight. Low-tox living isn’t about perfection, it’s about being more intentional and reducing unnecessary exposure where you can.
