Your OB team does not care. ❤️ A few things I do want you to know: ✨ There is no medical reason to remove your pubic hair before birth. It does not make you “cleaner” or more prepared for delivery. ✨ If you WANT to groom, avoid doing it right before delivery. Shaving or waxing can cause tiny cuts, irritation, or inflammation — things we’d rather avoid around the time of birth. ✨ Having a scheduled C-section? Don’t razor-shave your abdomen or pubic area beforehand. If hair needs to be removed near the incision, your surgical team can clip it appropriately. ✨ Waxing right before delivery? I’d skip it. Pregnancy can make the skin more sensitive and vascular, and waxing can leave the area irritated or abraded. ✨ And please don’t risk an injury trying to shave an area you can’t even see anymore. 😂 Trimming is an option — but leaving it completely alone is ALSO an option.
