@swimwithliam: 🏊♂️ Swim Coaches! Try this diving cue! When teaching racing starts, sometimes the simplest cues work best. We often see elite swimmers using a bigger arm swing as they launch off the block, but younger, developing swimmers don’t always have the timing or coordination to get their arms back into streamline before entry. So I like to simplify it. Instead of: “Take your marks… GO!” Try: “Take your marks… REACH!” 🎯 That one word encourages the swimmer to send their arms forward and find their streamline earlier. As swimmers develop, their start technique can develop with them. But initially, I’m a big believer in keeping the instruction simple and giving them ONE clear action to focus on. Give it a try with your swimmers and let me know how you get on 👊 #Swi#SwimCoachi#SwimmingCoachi#SwimmingTipsi#SwimTrainingi#SwimmingDrills
