Love is amazing. And there are different kinds of love and ways of showing love. Romantic love is just one version. And even that shifts over time. It doesn’t lessen, though, it deepens. You can find love in friendship, with family, even with neighbors and strangers. In fact, love in a relationship works better when it isn’t your sole source for love or all of your needs. And you can’t view it like it’s something you get, that can disappoint. But rather something you give. What I mean by other types of love being necessary. I mean platonic love - I’m not supporting cheating on a partner, that isn’t love. Anyway, it’s super silly to give up on love because you’ve idolized some version of it.
