Got in with a drunk taxi driver in Athens, we got out real quick when we realised ! They pretend they don’t understand and will drive you in circles..very very frustrating. 🤯 There’s no rules there so make your own (be safe) plan ahead.

In the 80s whenever we needed a taxi which was so hard to find back then in Athens , unfortunately they scammed always so my mother would ask as she would get in the taxi. How much money from here to there or she would say. I know how much I have to pay. And that would be the deal.

You can use uber in Athens or there local version Freenow which can used in most islands. If using a traditional taxi I always negotiate price before entering. Only tourist trap restaurants do this most traditional taverns don’t do this.

what this says is that Europe is unsafe, lacking security and what happened to origins of western civilisation. It is safer for visitors in China Vietnam, cambodia Thailand, Korea, japan and malaysia where i would wear my Rolex but not London
