A lot of hyper independent women are that way out of necessity not necessarily want. Because either a we ourselves have been let down so many times by sorry as men, who said that they were going to do what they needed to do to allow us to live a softer life and they didn’t do shit but make it harder. or we’ve watched our mothers our sisters our grandmothers get fucked over and said I’m not doing that.. I am lucky enough that I have a man who although didn’t like my hard shell when we met (like at all) now allows me to live a softer life while still maintaining independence. And I love him for it
