September has become the busiest month now 😕 I personally don’t like Positano or Amalfi, and those are the 2 most popular that everyone goes to. I much prefer Ravello, Maiori and Erchie. After hearing what you’ve said about not liking Positano, I wouldn’t bother with Capri. It’s also extremely busy and overpriced. 13€ for a bottle of water… go to Ischia instead

We went last week of August and stayed in Amalfi at the Excelsior hotel, which was truly amazing and checked all of the boxes. I agree with you about Positano too many stairs and the stores pretty much all have the same things and way overcrowded.

Hated Positano for the same reason. I actually preferred Almafi. A little less chaotic, more affordable. But i was so glad to come back to Sorrento for dinner.

I am in the Amalfi coast. I visited Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Praiano, Maiori & Minori. Love them all but if I were to return I’d pick sorrento!

You have to stay in a Villa on the hill overnight in Positano. Stayed for days. Nights when day trippers leave is magical. Went in off-season it was amazing! Also stayed in Sorrento. Preferred Positano.

It’s been HOT ASF up this entire week!!! I’ve never sweated like this in my life, lol. We’ve been in Sorrento for a week now and my goodness. The heat is insane over here. And too many ppl as well. So crowded.

Sorrento my favorite! Agree about all the stores, have same stuff! Same in Sorrento but it’s much easier to navigate! Not as crowded!!!! Great restaurants and wonderful nightlife!

Not so mid life :

If you only day trip to Positano you will probably not like it. If you stay there you will love it! The mornings and evenings are magical! It’s my favorite!

Yea just left Positano and as people said staying there was wonderful. Is it a workout going up and down the steps or taking the bus? Yep. But idk I enjoyed the activity.
