There is a place called Mapua, Just outside Nelson. The smokehouse has great Fish n Chips and the best Salmon Pate. Water view, Then you sit at the Golden Beer Brewery listening to live music.

I’m from Wanaka and it’s absolutely stunning there but my fav place I’ve ever been is Milford Sound !! if you can you should definitely go it’s surreal

Hanmer Springs for sure. It is a gorgeous town with stunning views, you can do quad biking, jet boating and they have amazing thermal pools.
