It seems to be Asia Air do have a strategic plan. First, conserve her financial position of the company future expansion program. Second, wait for the right time to invest on expansion and be more competitive. Meanwhile hold and drag the payment as long as possible. Tactically, it has been widely used by corporate companies in bad time, period, it takes longer than usual to adjust and juggle that problem. Financial institutes won't simply close down the operation of Asia Air because the amount owing is massive so to say rather collect the interest owing until AA P&L & Balance Sheet are furnished for the ACC for evaluation.

Those who had flown frequently back in the 80s until 2000 ,before AA was founded , can appreciate what AA had done.
Most Gen- whatever will never understand that it takes 3 months of a general worker's salary to fly just from KL to Bangkok one way.
Now even a low earning foreign labourer can fly the same route with a week's pay.
For some of you ,it could be a day's pay.
So let AA charge RM2500 minimum ,taking care of inflation and before the formation of AA , for a flight from KL to Bangkok.
Now anyone want to complain with that price ???

(Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia )

Do not get mistaken AirAsia loss making just purely with its mismanagement. Get your fact right. The loss making was also mostly due to the US-Iran wars that caused the jet fuel price swung up to peak price of over US$180/barrel (now trending at US$150/barrel), and given that AirAsia didn’t opt to fuel hedging and got hit by the high jet fuel cost, thus causing its company to have lost making since the war broke.
