I feel so anxious during this pregnancy, so disconnected from myself, and often so sad. I feel like I’ve completely lost touch with who I am. Before the positive test, I felt so grounded and so sure that I wanted to be a mom and give my love to my child. I felt so good about being a safe place for my baby. Now, all of that feels miles away. I feel so alone with these feelings because thoughts about the pregnancy often become too overwhelming for me. And then I feel guilty, because I’m afraid that feeling this way means I won’t be a good mom.
