@ef5ii5ft: Are nursing schools withholding program completion from state boards? 🤔 This delay could affect new grads' ability to take the NCLEX and start their careers. Let's discuss! #nursingschool #nclex #newgradnurse #nursingstudent #foryoupage #healthcare
not sure why this post went from LTACH to new grad authorization to test (ATT); difficult to follow... however, as faculty, I have a professional opinion as to the nursing school piece; not "pretty sure" or "shady". nursing programs actually try to have their graduates take the NCLEX asap, bc there is a higher pass rate associated with prompt testing--- the shorter the interim from graduation to testing, the greater chance of passing, if going by the "bumping their (school's) pass rates". also, nursing schools are rated from a "ranking perspective" between October to October. these institutions WANT the student to test way before October; both May and December graduates.
A good reason to hold a submission for ATT would be if the student was allowed to "walk" for graduation but may have had incomplete requirements. I would ask the students that email if ALL of their program completion requirements are submitted to include any financial responsibilities. I'd want more information before making a firm conclusion

Maybe their degrees have to be confirmed first through the registrars office before they can send and that’s the delay?
