Literally anything will grow a form of mold if it gets wet, isn’t able to fully dry due to water in hard to reach areas (ie in the gaps of Lego bricks) and then gathers dust over time. If anyone is reading this and wants to dust off Lego properly just use compressed air

There’s one minor flaw if your legos mold that means something was holding moisture in with it so just about any thing will mold just some take longer then usual

the "pink mold" isnt actually mold its bacteria, and it causes a stain. after washing with antibacterial cleaner its safe, but the stains remain.
