@drleewarren: Keep the Score? Does your body really keep the score after trauma? This reel gives you the answer from an actual brain surgeon. I talk about the neuroscience, and show you how using your mind to control your brain can get you back in charge of your trauma response. Save this for the next time your body is trying to convince you that it has inherent power to determine how you feel after you've gone through something hard. Share this with a friend whose brain is bossing them around. And follow me for connections between neuroscience and scripture every day that will help you flourish in your life. Can you define the difference between the Mind and the Brain? I wanted to come to you before I go to google. Thanks in advance.

I feel that my emotional pain hurts worse than physical pain. I also feel sick when I’m not feeling good mentally, and do notice more physical pain, but the emotional power seems to feel worse.

Not to be dramatic, but you saved my life, “cured” my anxiety and changed my whole perspective on everything. Thank you.

“Talk back to the alarm.” I can use that. I am safe, and I cannot change the past, but I can be present and change the future.

I have personally experienced how consuming scripture has healed trauma. It’s truly insane to think about!

I agree. However, I have had no prior shoulder injuries and when my dad passed, my shoulders were in so much pain and when grief shows up, my shoulders will hurt every so often.

Fascinating! Great topic. So connected to physical pain felt long after a physical injury has healed, the nerves continue to register pain in the brain, "nerves are not shutting off"? Probably at least the case if someone is constantly stuck in grief.

Thanks for explaining this so clearly! As a trauma healer for others it shows real evidence that our physical pain can be a messenger of a deeper emotional wound. 🙏

I can feel the area of my brain that is damaged from my little brothers death. It took all I had to keep my brain and mind functioning and not going into an abyss. I had just recovered my septic shock when he left 😭
