That’s not correct, here’s a more accurate break down of what’s happening and an actual birds eye view! 🤣 Using the front rows shoulders as your point of reference (because scrums must be squared at the initial contact point, not the second row 🙄) you can see the blue line sits closest to where actual contact happens, and this highlights that Ox is set too far back, causing an overextension which naturally stops the scrum from engaging square, on top of that, the South African props binds are wrong, the ABs bind is over the bicep without impeding Ox’s position, whereas the Boks' bind is over the shoulder, pulling the loosehead in and under (IYKYK). These are two separate points of failure that will impede the scrum and cause it to wheel or collapse. 🤷‍♂️This is the more accurate break down of what’s occurring and aligns with what James Parsons explanation of the issue is, it’s not just they wheel at engagement, it’s also how they are engaging from the start, as you can clearly see.
