@kaoskumar: "The other races won't share the lift with my Indians friends" Racism, career pivots, fatherhood, marriage and starting over. Azman Yusof has been through more chapters than most. In this ‘getting real’ episode of Man Enough, Kumar chats about identity, race, resilience, raising two boys, navigating a mixed marriage and why sometimes the strangest career path leads exactly where you’re meant to be. Decimo Elemento: https://decimo.sg/ ------------------------ Why don’t men talk about their mental and physical health? Because we’re taught to “man up”. In this bold new series, Kumar dives deep into the minds of everyday and extraordinary men with laughter, honesty and zero filter. From hair loss to heartbreak, dentists to depression, Kumar breaks the stigma one punchline at a time. Real talk. Real struggles. Real men. This is Man Enough. If you’re Man Enough to speak about your struggles, your wins or the things men usually don’t talk about, drop us a note at *[email protected]* with your contact details and a little about your story. No pressure, no judgment, just real talk, with heart and humour. You never know who your story might help. ------------------------ *Disclaimer:* The views and opinions shared in Man Enough reflect the personal experiences of the individuals featured and are shared for conversation and awareness purposes only. They should not be taken as medical, legal, financial or professional life advice. This series is a storytelling and discussion platform created in the hope that these honest experiences will resonate with others, encourage men to open up and help normalise conversations about the challenges they face. If you are struggling or need support, we encourage you to seek help from a qualified professional or a trusted person in your life. ------------------------ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@kaoskumar TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@kaoskumar Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kaoskumarr Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kaoskumarr #kaos #manenoughpodcast #racism #neighbours #religion

Now it's far worse. In the past, the 60s, there was much more harmony.

Many people say Chinese are most racist. I do agreed some are but not all. An individual dislikes of any other races have nothing to do with the whole group of people with the same ethnicity. I am a Singaporean Chinese, ask any of my Malay friends, they will tell you I am absolutely good with them. I ever work with a Malay boss for 10 years, selling Malay culture items. I do have Indian friends and a god brother who is Indian. I see nothing about us being in different races, I only see all people in regardless of whatever race or skin colours as all humans.

i get from gold shop. my husb took me for surprise bday present. he pass me his card and i can take what ever i want. i took 2k bracelet and the sales person kept telling me to ,'u can installment, this one heavy more than 1k and she kept repeating even after i said i not gonna pay installment, in the end i told sis i can pay all using my husb card(show her), im only paying installment for my 4room. In starhub outlet also the same this Philippines sales man kept telling me this plan expensive this one also expensive, my husb told him off why u kept telling my wife expensive2? bro if i cant afford i will not bring my wife here. he was shocked and he apologized. and my husband told him its rude for u to keep telling customers this and that expensive when the customer can see the price, its like u telling the customer they cant afford. And we were there waiting for our number to be called, we didn't hear him telling the chinese man before us about expensive. So it's an obvious stereotype.

My former colleague, a local brown man, was cleaning his car (top line continental) in his condo carpark. One of the resident asked him how much is it to clean his (entry level Korean) car!

The more prosperous a country becomes, the more you may find people complaining about every little thing. 😅 I can’t understand why some people like to use racism as a weapon. The staff simply said that the GrabFood pickup stand was on the other side. They never mentioned anything about race. It could simply have been one inexperienced staff member who made a mistake. That doesn’t mean the whole group or organisation is racist. Some people may feel unwell, uncomfortable, or have other personal reasons for choosing not to take the lift with others. It doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with racism. Please don’t use racism as a weapon to attack an entire country or group of people. Everyone’s experience is different, so I think we should look at each situation fairly instead of making generalisations. Try to stay positive and not assume the worst in every situation. Being more positive can make life much happier. 😊

I do get Malay or Indian who do not want to take the lift with me so is it racism too but I feel for him abt the Grab delivery queue part but is it racism I doubt so I was prevented from entering Paragon carpark as my car has phv decal he kept saying grab the other lane I’m like dude I’m not even there to pick up anyone can’t I go to the mall to shop so stereotyping may not always be abt race sometimes being less sensitive n positive will make u feel better
