Philly already said goodbye when everyone stopped going, that’s why they’re closing.

I don’t understand why somebody’s not funding this to restore it!! Where are the rich people in Philadelphia? Where are the grants? Why are they just giving up on this beautiful building?

There's a rally to save the museum at 10am on Tuesday, Sept 8. I feel like there's got to be some kind of private-public partnership solution here.

I'm gonna be honest....with a name like "the ACADEMY of Natural Sciences" I genuinely didn't know it was a museum that was open to the public 😭 I grew up going to the natural history museum in NYC and if Philly had more direct names for their museums I would've been going to them! I honestly didn't know they were legit museums 😵💫

Shame. They have a good collection, and a good staff, but never seemed to do any real outreach. Maybe they can merge with the Franklin Institute to form a Science Education Center, or something

Nothing matters, we don’t do anything anymore, and we have no values.

So sad. How can we be a world class city without this museum? And it should stay in the same historic building

I taught first grade in Philadelphia. I took my class there every year. So wonderful museum. I can’t believe the city is going to let it go.
