For those curious, this is 4H or FFA. Not fancy show animals (though it is a sport so there are some fancy ones too). This “show” is for littles. 10-18. It teaches them animals husbandry as well as dedication (the grooming side). My kids work their assets off every day to simply make it to auction. 2+hrs a day for 10-12 months for the steers and 6’ish months for pigs and smaller animals. Remember these are LITTLES working hard for something more than iPad time and earning $ in the process. Did your 10yo make a few grand with their blood, sweat and tears this year?
