De acuerdo con el reporte difundido, presuntos delincuentes intentaron cortarles el paso cuando se desplazaban por esta carretera. Durante el ataque se los agresores realizaron disparos al aire, en un intento por intimidar a las mujeres y forzarlas a detenerse; pese a la agresión, la conductora logró tomar una ruta alterna para escapar.
