We went to McDonald observatory in Ft Davis a few months ago and those lights were disrupting our dark sky/star party. 😢

I hate them just as much as the next guy. I did take a job at one right by the house because they pay was high as hell and it’s getting built with or without me so I’ll take some of that money. I can say with confidence now a lot of the fear mongering is completely misleading and false. These lights will be almost completely gone once the construction is complete. It’s a huge area and they work 24 hours around the clock. They also aren’t using water like people say they are, and most of them will have their own power plants to produce their own power.

Those lights are at the back of my boys thirty acres. They weren’t there when he bought the land & built his home. He is furious. They completely took over his beautiful night view.

Our night skies are already blanketed with tons of blinking red lights, and every time someone make the claim that things will change or be different as soon as they get elected its business as usual and nothing changes. Money talks and unfortunately for those of us in rural Texas right now the carpetbaggers have figured out they can do whatever they want out here and because they have the money nothing will stop them. It does not mater who we vote for or what party is in power nothing changes in rural Texas, we get the short end of the stick because theres not enuf of us out here for anyone to care what we actually say.
