@offshoreglobal: How Offshore Workers Get Internet 200 Miles From Land 🌊📱 How do offshore workers get internet when they’re hundreds of miles from land? 🌊 Oil rigs and offshore vessels use satellite communication to stay connected for messaging, calls, emails, entertainment, and sometimes uploading videos. Internet can be slower or limited, but staying connected offshore is still possible. Accommodation is provided, so after a 12-hour shift, workers can head back to their rooms and call home. #Offshore #OilRig #internet #FIFO #OilAndGas
