@tdtnewz: Why would the Dutch central bank suddenly move 86 tonnes of gold out of North America and into London? 👀 Between March and August 2026, De Nederlandsche Bank relocated roughly 86 tonnes from holdings in the United States and Canada. But here’s where it gets interesting… About 59 tonnes were sold in New York and immediately replaced with gold purchased in London, while more than 27 tonnes were physically moved through the Netherlands before being transferred to London. The result? 🇬🇧 London now holds 32.1% of Dutch gold reserves, up from 18.1%. 🇺🇸 New York fell from 31.3% to 18.5%. 🇨🇦 Ottawa fell from 19.7% to 18.5%. And the Dutch central bank isn’t saying it’s buying more gold. It says the goal is crisis preparedness. Gold stored at the Bank of England can be traded more quickly and, according to DNB, deployed more readily in a severe crisis. DNB says the move was prompted by increasing geopolitical unrest and a desire to make its reserves more accessible. So ask yourself: If there was no serious concern about the financial system being tested, why make billions in gold easier to access during a crisis? Is this simply smart risk management… or is the Netherlands quietly preparing for a world where access to liquidity could suddenly become critical? What do they know that the rest of us don’t?
