@eidox.news: The four-year-old pink-backed pelican flew about 800 meters from nearby Tokiwa Park to Meiko Kindergarten in Ube, Yamaguchi, almost daily . The children embraced him, and he danced to their songs, played tag, and even napped in the teachers' office . His daily visits became a national sensation, leading to a documentary, an anime film, and an award from the Japan Animal Welfare Society . Katta-kun passed away in 2008 at 23 years old, but his story remains a beloved piece of Japanese folklore . #Kattakun #Pelican #Japan #Kindergarten #1989
