@oshadhikulathilaka: The circular glass memorial on Tower Green at the Tower of London says: "Gentle visitor pause awhile: where you stand death cut away the light of many days: here jewelled names were broken from the vivid thread of life: may they rest in peace while we walk the generations around their strife and courage : under these restless skies." Not the finest moment in British history. Not the finest King, Henry the eighth. Not the finest days. Not the finest hours. History makes mistakes for the present to avoid. It would not be execution or beading, yet the killing is everywhere! #anneboleynexecution #anneboleyn #catherinehoward #ladyjanegrey #henryviii
