I honestly think the climate crisis has been a contributing factor to my generalized anxiety/depression since I was a child. My folks were very open and forward about global warming, it was a pet topic of my grandfather's as well. And as frustrating as arguing with other middle-schoolers was back then, it's so soul-sucking to be having the same arguments with adults as the situation has gotten exponentially worse.

Don’t worry, the rich will disappear into their “data centers” where indoor farms grow their food. Fertilizer shortage? Water becoming scarce? Potential for blackouts? Cameras popping up everywhere and law enforcement through unmanned drones. No need for them to interact with the rest of us at this point so they’re going to retreat into their caves while the rest argue about which bathroom I should use.

I don't care about trying to save people who won't get their head out of the sand, I don't care about objectives or what the scientists say is possible.
