I spent over $10,000 to understand Codex and Anthropic, and I can tell you they are all designed to take your money first. Yes, they do the job, but it is not free, plus you need to sit there. I built three pieces of software and spent over 50 hours of my time sitting, waiting, and spending money. Is it cheaper than hiring someone? Yes, but my time as a businessman is $150 per hour, so do the math. For two programs, that is 50 hours at $150, plus $8,000 for AI. They are still not fully done because I am not a pro, and the AI fixes one thing while breaking another. But I am getting there.
