What nobody tells you about your mouth, breathing, and sleep... 1. Your teeth should not be touching all day. At rest, your jaw should be relaxed and your teeth should have a little space between them. 2. Jaw pain is not always just a jaw problem. Stress, clenching, breathing, posture, and your nervous system can all change how much tension you hold in your face and jaw. 3. Mouth breathing can change more than your breath. It can dry out your mouth, affect sleep, and change how your lips, tongue, and face work over time. 4. Your tongue should not live low in your mouth. At rest, it should gently rest up on the roof of your mouth without pushing into your teeth. 5. Your phone may be adding to your forward head posture. If your head is always hanging forward, your neck and jaw may start working harder than they should. 6. Drool on your pillow is a clue. It may mean your lips are opening at night, your tongue is sitting low, or you are breathing through your mouth while you sleep. 7. Loud swallowing can be a sign that something is working too hard. If you hear gulping or see the lips, chin, or neck jump in to help, the swallow may not be as smooth as it should be. 8. Nail biting is not just hard on your teeth. It is an oral habit that can put extra stress on your teeth, jaw, and the muscles around your mouth. 9. Snoring is common, but it is not something to ignore. Snoring can be a sign that air is having a harder time moving while you sleep. 10. A recessed chin is not always “just genetics.” Growth, jaw position, breathing, tongue posture, and genetics can all play a role in how the lower face develops. 11. Scrolling before bed may be hurting your sleep. Bright light, stimulation, and staying mentally “on” can make it harder for your brain to wind down. That is why myo is not just about doing tongue exercises. Because sometimes the thing you have been ignoring for years is the thing your body has been trying to tell you all along. #MouthHealth #BreathingAwareness #SleepQuality #JawAlignment #PostureCorrection
