@garybrecka: What if you started craving the things that actually make you stronger? Exercise. Cold exposure. Movement. Doing something difficult when every part of you would rather choose comfort. Your body has its own reward systems, and physical activity can influence neurotransmitters and endorphins involved in mood and motivation. That's one reason people start genuinely craving how they feel after a workout. I say this all the time: aging is the aggressive pursuit of comfort. Do hard things. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. You might eventually get addicted to how good it makes you feel.
