Idk I’m 25 and have $220k in equity because I bought a house at 20. I can sell it, refinance or just keep paying it off while it raises in value. If I rented I’d have nothing.

My husband and I were just talking about this. 30 year mortgage is a trap. Do yall know what can go wrong in your life in 30 years? You’ll be paying on that house until you die. My aunt told me never buy a house unless you pay cash, my step dad has told me the same. Idc if it’s an “asset” if I can’t pay cash or more than half cash then I can’t afford it.
