@casewatchdaily: Two people—Keysha Monique Epps and Tamra Marshon Stewart—face charges after investigators say four children lived in a semi-truck for over six years, enduring alleged abuse, beatings and severe neglect. Investigators say the children were forced to share a single bunk and were denied adequate food, hygiene, schooling, and medical care. According to investigators, Epps was a commercial truck driver who ran routes between Atlanta and Miami, with stops across Florida, including Orlando. The four children allegedly lived with Epps and Stewart inside the truck's sleeper cab for more than six years. Two of the children also suffered untreated burns that left significant scarring, according to the investigation. The two boys allegedly witnessed Stewart abusing the girls and told investigators they were beaten after confronting Stewart and reporting what happened to Epps. Stewart faces 10 charges, including sexual battery by a person in familial or custodial authority, lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under 12, battery of a child by expelling certain fluids or materials, and child neglect. Epps faces 12 charges as well, including sexual battery by a person in familial or custodial authority, lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under 12, child neglect, child neglect causing permanent disfigurement and four counts of failing to report child abuse.
