Fisher cats are in the same family as wolverines so that should tell you everything.

I’m south of Baltimore and I have mad fisher cats in the woods by my house. They run past my windows at night!!! They scream like demon babies 😭

Even my rancher friends actively steer clear of fisher cats… and they aren’t scared of anything. Told me all I needed to know about them, although I tease them for being wary of a large ferret 🤭

I had a pack of them mfers following me and the service cat I was certifying on the Genesee River Trail they were stealthy, organized, and diabolical. I was real deal scared and didn’t know what they were. I had to physically carry the service cat off the trail BACKWARDS cuz I knew these lil shits were trying to eat the friggin cat!!! It had to be like 6-9 of them and they were COMMUNICATING with one another! THEY ARE BOLD AF TOO! Y’all they had us surrounded before I realized we were being hunted YES HUNTED!!! It was the most surreal and disturbing thing I have ever endured in nature! I went home and googled what I saw and Fisher Cat is what came up! This was in Rochester, NY during Covid btw 😳😳😳

I’m in southern Maryland and they come through every so often. Scariest sound ever! I thought a woman or baby were hurt in our woods. I started running out there late one night before my Appalachian lore kicked in 😂😂😂

I’m in Baltimore County near Ellicott City and I’m convinced I’ve seen this animal in my neighborhood. I couldn’t tell if it was rough looking cat or fox but I do know I quickly went the opposite direction
