We’re building a photo set inside the bed of our truck and driving it 7,500 miles across the United States, creating a photo series where the landscape changes, but the set stays the same. Day 1 was all about building the bases for the platforms. The final set will be a series of four cubes designed to create a reverse forced-perspective tunnel, while also allowing the set to be photographed in two completely different ways. And because this entire thing will be traveling on the road and exposed to the elements for 25 days, we’re building it to survive the journey too. Day 1 was a big step forward.
