Two of my children were elopers. I had deadbolts that needed a key to unlock and electronic door chimes so we knew when the door was opened.

My husband and I found a two year old in the middle of a very busy road with only a diaper in cold weather. His diaper hadn’t been changed for at least two days. The parents were passed out and didn’t even know he was gone and it wasn’t the first time.

My 2yr old grandson was like an escape artist,he was intelligent to pull a chair to open the front door lock got out for 20 seconds before being caught second keylock had to stop it happening again.

how hard is it to get an alarm .. I have a kiddo and an alarm system that alerts me when the door opens ext. and my son has never wondered off ... this poor baby 😭
