Mereka mengatakan, hingga Rabu (2/9/2026) sore, masih banyak ikan sapu-sapu yang berada di dasar sungai. Galaxia – A Gentle Soul Waiting for Her Forever Home Galaxia arrived at the pound in September 2023 and was about 1.5 years old on arrival. She is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound. Galaxia is now around 4 years old and has spent almost three years of her life waiting at the pound — a huge part of her young life. During this time, she has made incredible progress and continues to reveal her loving and gentle nature. When she first arrived, Galaxia was very scared and timid. For over a year, she was unable to go for walks, as the harness and lead were sources of anxiety for her. With patience, kindness, and support from the volunteers, she slowly learned to wear a harness and now enjoys going for walks, walking calmly on the lead beside her human companions. Sadly, these walks happen only rarely due to the lack of volunteers, but they remain one of her favourite parts of the day and an important boost for her confidence and happiness. In the past, Galaxia shared her patio time with a big, gentle male dog, which helped her build confidence and develop her social skills. Although he has since been adopted, this experience showed that she could live happily with a calm, friendly, and laid-back dog in a future home. Galaxia’s personality truly shines during one-on-one time. She is affectionate, enjoys gentle cuddles, and loves belly rubs. While generally calm, she still enjoys running and playing during her patio time, making the most of every moment outside her cage. Galaxia can still be a little cautious or unsure around some new people, so she would do best in a home that understands her needs and allows her to settle in at her own pace. Despite all her progress, Galaxia still faces the harsh reality of life in the pound. She spends most of her day in a small cage, with only short breaks in the patio. Recently, we have started to see how much this long wait is affecting her. More and more often, Galaxia can be found simply lying on her bed, quietly watching the world around her. There is a sadness in her eyes that is heartbreaking to see — as if years of waiting have started to take away some of the hope she once had. But Galaxia is still there. She still enjoys her walks, her cuddles, and those special moments when someone gives her the attention she has been missing. She just needs someone to remind her that her story is not over. Galaxia deserves the chance to finally experience a normal life — with a family, regular walks, and the security of a home of her own. Galaxia would flourish in a home that can offer patience, love, and understanding. She has already shown incredible resilience and a willingness to learn, and she is ready to continue growing with someone who believes in her.
