@napcueapp: Room sharing after 6 months can start working against sleep rather than for it. Your breathing, your movements, and your smell are stimuli — and your baby's brain is now developed enough to respond to all of them. ⠀ 1️⃣ Room sharing in the early months is recommended by safe sleep guidelines for SIDS prevention. Before 4 months, the baby's sleep is largely independent of environmental stimuli because their arousal threshold is high. After 6 months, that changes. The baby's brain is more alert at cycle boundaries, their object permanence is developing, and the presence of a parent in the room becomes a stimulus that can trigger social engagement at 2am rather than resettling. ⠀ 2️⃣ The tell: a baby who sleeps well at nap time in their own room but wakes multiple times at night when room sharing. The identical sleep environment produces different results. The variable is you. At cycle boundaries, the baby senses your presence, hears your breathing, and the brain decision-tilts toward 'call for them' rather than 'settle back down'. ⠀ 3️⃣ This is not about attachment — it is about stimulus management. Moving the baby to their own room after 6 months, when you are comfortable doing so, typically improves night sleep for both baby and parent. The research that supports this is consistent: after 6 months, independent sleeping is associated with longer night stretches and fewer wakings. ⠀ 4️⃣ If room sharing is necessary for practical or personal reasons: consider a room divider or curtain between the sleeping areas, run white noise to mask your breathing sounds, and be deliberate about not moving in the night when you hear the baby cycling into light sleep. The goal is to reduce the strength of the stimulus, not eliminate your presence. ⠀ This is the exact reason I started using an app called Napcue. It learns my baby's real patterns, tracks wake windows automatically, and gives me a heads up when the sleepy window is about to open so we're not crashing past it. Bedtime went from feeling like a guessing game to being a quiet notification on my phone. ⠀ Link in bio @napcueapp 💜 #babysleep #roomsharing #nightwaking #babysleeptips #newmom

Si el niño duerme contigo o en la misma habitación, no debería de haber interferencia ni problema.

What about a baby that sleeps well at nap time but not at nighttime in the exact same bed? 😂

Bullshit! Das Baby gehört zur Mama und das ständige leichte wecken schützt sogar vor SIDS, weil das Baby nicht in den "gefährlichen" Tiefschlaf rutscht. Hört bitte nicht auf solche Videos!!!
