@margarethe.feuth: Every time you get behind the wheel, remember: your life — or the life of someone you love — can change in seconds. Please drive safely. ❤️ Wear your seatbelt. Every trip. Every time. Obey speed limits and keep a safe following distance. Stay focused — put the phone away. Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Check your mirrors and blind spots, and use your indicators. Slow down in rain, fog or poor visibility. Never drive when you’re too tired. And perhaps most importantly — drive for the other person. You may be following every rule, but you cannot control what another driver does. Expect the unexpected. Give yourself enough time and space to react to someone else’s mistake. Your destination can wait a few extra minutes. Someone you love is waiting for you to come home. ❤️ #DrMHealthAndWellness #EducatePreventThrive #RoadSafety #DriveSafe #BuckleUp
In South Africa we have to drive for the others on the road

I tell you what... I pride myself in following all the rules, especially on the roads.. And yes, we look all over even for a green light!
My husband and I watched an episode on one of the firefighter programs and a hacker made all the robots green and there were big accidents. I still mentioned to my hubby that in SA, we won't just go... We know we always need to look first...
And SHAME ON ALL THE PEOPLE that take road rules as suggestions.

❤️🙏 all accidents carry a 50/50 responsibility. Don't rely on the law just to prove you're right.

As a forensic pathologist here in a Pretoria mortuary - we see so many of these deaths coming in especially over festive seasons and weekends and i appreciate this message. These deaths are preventable and remember culpable homicide is real. Continue your amazing work 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I will never understand why people do not buckle their kids in or even buy a car seat. And Im talking about parents driving very expensive cars and kids jumping around inside? They say no they refuse to stay buckled or its not worth the fight. When that accident happens, was it worth the fight then?

My driving instructor told me once to always drive and think of every other driver as being a mad person. 24 years later and I still think that way.

Thank you Dr! But unfortunately people don’t care anymore😩they don’t even indicate! The roads are mess. Too many drivers just do what the want and everyone else must just deal 😭very sad…

There is no such a thing as a car accident. Someone is always at fault. People really need to change their driving styles and drive for other road users.
