From Chișinău to Bălți, Cahul, Yaloveni and Ungheni, we’ll be tracing the built legacy of Soviet-era modernism across Moldova’s urban centres, Sports Camps and forest regions. Expect the first and second BACU-listed sites, the State Circus and Hotel Național, alongside Hotel Cosmos, Romanița Tower, the Gagarin Youth Palace, mass housing microdistricts with monumental mosaic murals, and the extraordinary network of bus stops built along the Moscow Olympic road as part of the 1980 Olympic flame route.
